Welcome to Links by Leija. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at www.linksbyleija.com (the "Site") and the permanent jewelry services we provide, whether booked online, in person, or at an event. By using the Site or booking with us, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or our services.

1. Our Services

Links by Leija offers permanent jewelry welding services, including a large selection of solid gold, gold filled, and sterling silver chains, available by individual appointment, walk-in (where offered), and private party/event bookings. Permanent jewelry is welded closed rather than clasped, and is intended to be long-wearing — it can be removed by cutting the chain if needed.

2. Booking & Payment

Individual appointments are booked and paid for through Square, our third-party booking and payment provider. Square's own terms and privacy practices apply to the payment process.

Prices for chains and services are as listed at the time of booking and are subject to change.

We don't currently have a formal cancellation or no-show policy for individual appointments. If that changes, this section will be updated to reflect it — check back here or ask us directly if you need to reschedule.

3. Private Parties & Events

Private party and event bookings are subject to the following terms:

A minimum of 6 permanent jewelry pieces is required per party (rings not included in the minimum).

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to book your party. This deposit goes toward booking the event and will be credited toward your total on the day of the event.

Parties located more than 25 miles from Fredericksburg, VA (22401) will require a travel fee, which will be provided via a separate invoice.

Final pricing for the event depends on the number and type of pieces selected by guests on the day of the party.

4. Age & Consent

There is no minimum age requirement to receive permanent jewelry from Links by Leija; however, parental consent is required for minors. A parent or legal guardian must be present and provide consent for any client under 18.

5. Assumption of Risk & Service Acknowledgment

Permanent jewelry is applied using a welding tool that fuses the jump ring so that the chain is closed without a clasp. By booking a service with Links by Leija, you acknowledge and agree that:

You understand the jewelry is welded on and is intended to be long-wearing, not literally indestructible — it can be cut off by you, a jeweler, or Links by Leija if needed.

As with any jewelry worn continuously, normal wear, tarnishing, stretching, or breakage can occur over time depending on chain material, activity level, and care.

You are responsible for disclosing any known metal allergies or skin sensitivities prior to your appointment.

Results, fit, and wear vary by individual, and Links by Leija does not guarantee a specific outcome or lifespan for any piece.

You consent to the welding procedure being performed on you (or, if applicable, on your minor child, with your presence and consent as described in Section 4).

Links by Leija is not liable for allergic reactions, skin irritation, or damage resulting from failure to disclose relevant sensitivities, from normal wear and tear, or from misuse of the jewelry after your appointment.

6. Website Use

By using this Site, you agree to:

Use it only for lawful purposes

Not attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the Site or its booking systems

Provide accurate information when submitting any form (including event or pop-up requests)

We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, photos, logos, and branding — belongs to Links by Leija unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Links by Leija is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Virginia law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Virginia.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, including as our booking process, party policies, or services change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
